Doug’s photography career originated 33 years ago under the tutelage of Dr. John Wynn, working exclusively with medium format cameras at the commencement of his career. He launched his own photography studio a few years later during the traditional era of film. Since then, Doug has continued to grow his business, develop his talent and hone his skills.

Always curious about the latest state in the art in cameras, film, and techniques, Doug wasted no time becoming an early adopter of digital imaging and replacing his film cameras with digital cameras and learning to use Corel draw and Photoshop. As digital imaging evolved Doug quickly developed techniques to master event photography, use of the green screen, and on site printing that has contributed to building a large and loyal client base.

As computers once moved photographers from traditional film to digital photography, the emergence of social media has demanded photographers to drive digital imaging to the next level. Not finding adequate solutions to meet his client’s demands, Doug sought out his longtime friend Martin van der Roest to explore the concept of getting event images “beyond the click”, into the social stream. Hence fotoShout was born.

Doug’s drive to provide the best product and experience possible for his clients is shared by his daughter Jessica who has worked with Doug for many years. The ocean, boating, Doug’s daughter Nicole, and his wife of 30 years, Cynthia, along with family and friends help balance the intensity.

Jessica’s career began 12 years ago as an assistant at DCP.  During the last 12 years Jessica has learned, honed, and obtained new photography skills.  From computer operations, on-site printing, fotoShout development, on-site trainer, and of course photography.  Today’s photographer must be a master of technology, and be prepared to manage the “What If’s”.  Jessica is a Master of the What if’s, with the ability, and skills to influence delicate situations. 

     Jessica is first on site, the last to leave, appreciated, and valued by all our client’s.
